Countdown date in product card

Adding metafield definition

Before you can add countdown (metafield value) to specific products, you need to add the necessary metafield definition for this information.

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Custom data > Products

1. Click Add definition

1. In the Name field, enter Product timer, and then click the 'Product timer' generated as you type from the list. This is the metafied used for storing the expiry date

1. In the Namespace and key field, enter custom.product_timer

1. Click Select content type then select Date.

2. Click Save to save the definition

1. You should see the Product timer in the list of definitions by now.

Setting the countdown

1. In your admin, within Products, click on the product you want to add the countdown

1. Scroll down to the Metafields. You should see the Product timer here.

1. To set an expiry time, click on the Product timer field.

2. Click Save to save your changes.
